Good, but missing key feature

By eatulls

The wallet is just what I was looking for. I’m not one to carry purses when I go out. I like to bring my phone, license, and credit card, no more. This is great for that. However, it needs a camera hole. Every time I want to snap a quick photo, I have to remove the phone from the wallet. While this is done relatively easily, it’s a pain in the butt. If you like to take photos with your iPhone, this wallet is not for you.

Very Nice case

By N. Schmeichel

Really nice quality of the case itself. The elastic band to keep the case closed doesn’t seem to match the rest of the cases quality, but this is fine. Has been easy to open and close when needed, with minimal ‘fumbling’ around. Excellent to have everything in one place…as long as you don’t misplace it. Phone stays within case snugly, yet firmly, which I originally had doubts about. It’s mostly just a snap in, and seems difficult to get the phone in and out at first, but over time, you get the hang of it. One main thing to mention is that there is no hole for the camera and flash, so anytime a picture or video is required, phone must be removed. I suppose it’s to be expected given that the front side was made to fold over similar to that of a book, so don’t think there would have been a way around that, but always something to note and keep in mind. Really nice regardless, and happy with the purchase.

Ambivalent

By W. G. boyd

Whenever anyone notices my HEX wallet, there is an OMG reaction. It’s the same reaction I had when I saw it for the first time. However after a few months of ownership, I have to say that the wow factor has worn off and I honestly don’t love the product.

I think the plusses are obvious and the reason I bought it. It’s compact, stores essentials, two birds with one stone etc. However the good stops there. After living with it, you realize some serious drawbacks. First, it’s compact for the essentials. There is no extra room at all for anything other than three or four cards and a few bills. That. Is. It.

I have some paper cards that are essential to carry on my person that used to fit in my wallet, but don’t fit in this slim dimension iPhone form factor. My key card for the office does not fit either. I guess my best advice would be: Guys, this is absolutely not a replacement for a real wallet. As much as I try to pare down I personally simply cannot make this my only wallet.

Perhaps the biggest issue with this item is that even when you look past the lack of expandability is that the placement of the cards forces the edge/corner of a credit card into the face of your iPhone. The cards do not lay flat; they are cascaded upon each other. It ruined my first screen cover as it rubs one corner of a card on the screen – a pressure point – while it’s in your pocket. The maker really needs to add a microfiber or suede “page” in the wallet to protect the screen from the cards. Without the screen cover, it would have permanently messed up my iPhone screen.

And finally – I got red. I like red. I think it’s a great color and I wanted something different. However, when it arrived I realized it wasn’t quite the red I was expecting from what I saw online. It’s like red gloss lipstick red. I’ve put a sticker over mine to hide my mistake. Men, don’t make the same mistake. This red perfect for a lady, not so great for a guy.

All in all, its fine for what it’s advertised for. I appreciate having my daily necessity cards, 3 bills and my phone all in one place. My advice would be: Don’t buy red. Don’t expect to carry anything else in the wallet and watch out for screen damage.

And when you want to get down to business, there’s even a business card reader for rapidly capturing contact info.

This unlocked cell phone can be used with a GSM network service provider and it provides quad-band connectivity (850 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 1900 MHz). It does not come with a SIM card, and it requires that you provide a SIM card for usage with your selected service provider. This phone comes with a one-year warranty from a third party provider.

The A1200 Ming combines eye catching style with Linux-powered PDA substance, and it comes in red (as well as silver and black). See it in more detail: Front and rear. Design
The first thing you’ll notice about the Ming is that its design is definitely groundbreaking. While the transparent cover might look cool, it also serves a purpose, as the phone’s speaker is cleverly embedded in the cover. Flip the phone open and you’re greeted by a huge 2.4-inch touchscreen that sports 240 x 320 resolution and support for 262,000 colors. There’s also an included stylus so you can control the unit’s onscreen menus and functions. And speaking of menus and functions, the Ming’s operating system offers an easy-to-use, Linux-based interface that makes navigating between entertainment, contact, document and other functions a breeze. You’ll also find two control buttons, as well as a navigation joystick, below the display.

The Ming also supports MicroSD card expandability, which allows you to add up to 2 GB of extra storage to the device — plenty of room for games, movies, and documents. There’s a standard 2.5 mm headset jack, and a built-in mini-USB connector makes it easy to connect the Ming to your computer or other devices. Bluetooth wireless technology lets talk freely on a wireless headset or sync up seamlessly with your PC and other compatible Bluetooth devices. You can even print your favorite pictures wirelessly with the Ming’s Bluetooth printing capability.

Calling Features
The Ming has all the latest calling features folks have come to expect from a high-end handset. The built-in speakerphone makes it easy to talk without having the phone to your ear. Voice activated dialing makes calling your friends, family and associates as easy as saying their names. As mentioned, the phone’s Bluetooth connectivity means that your favorite Bluetooth headset is fully compatible. Plus, you can connect a stereo Bluetooth wireless headset and listen to your favorite music without any wires. Meanwhile, the ringer and picture ID system makes it easy to identify your most common callers. And last but not least, a vibrate mode allows you to receive calls in silence.

Messaging, Internet, and PDA Tools
The Ming covers the messaging bases with support for text and MMS messaging, as well as IM-based communications with MSN Messenger. There’s also a complete email client that allows you to receive and view PDF, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint attachments. The email client supports POP3, IMAP4, and SMTP protocols. An integrated browser lets you view complete HTML pages or surf the wireless Web via WAP 2.0.

On the PDA front, the Ming comes with a powerful calendar and contacts system that makes it easy to stay in touch with your important contacts while organizing your schedule. And because the Ming supports the SyncML synchronization standard, you can easily sync your PC-based contacts and schedule with the Ming’s personal information management system. Other tools include an integrated business card scanner, a calculator, an alarm, a voice memo recorder, and a to-do list. You can use the Ming’s advanced handwriting recognition to quickly and accurately enter information.

Entertainment
The Ming’s 2-megapixel camera features a macro mode for getting great closeups. You can also capture video clips; capture length is limited to a staggering two hours. Use the built-in RealPlayer application to view your videos, as well as videos you’ve got stored on a memory card. The integrated music player supports MP3, WAV, AMR, WMA, and AAC+ digital music formats. There’s also a stereo FM radio.

If you’re into mobile gaming, the Ming has you covered there, too. The phone ships with one game, Extreme Air Snowboarding.

Vital Statistics
The Motorola A1200 Ming weighs 4.30 ounces and measures 3.77 x 2.04 x .85 inches. Its lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 7.4 hours of digital talk time, and up to 170 hours of digital standby time. It runs on the 850/900/1800/1900 MHz GSM/GPRS frequencies. This phone comes with a one-year warranty from a third party provider.

Great phone

By S. Chen

A small, stylish and very easy to use phone that is very useful, easy to handle and will impress all of your friends who have bigger clunkier phones. This phone works like a pda and has a good camera. If you like to send text messages, this phone will be great for you. You can set up email and web (find out codes for the set up on your provider’s website). I highly recommend this phone for ppl who don’t want something heavy and difficult to use!

SyncML client is a problem

By Suzie Carlos

I was not able to sync Calendar and Contacts. I tried to Google my problem and found out that many people experience the same. I used Linux 2.6.14 “Ubuntu” and Evolution mail. People with Macs have the same problem.

Circular, Open-Air Design

The Maverick Nica Sunrise has a compact, round, open-air design that allows for comfortable extended wear. With no uncomfortable in-ear insert or cumbersome boom mic, the ergonomically designed headset sits snuggly, securely, and unobtrusively against your outer ear. It comes with cushioned right and left ear loops–just slip the loop over your ear, and the headset settles gently into place.

The compact headset measures 1-4/10 inches in diameter and 1/2-inch deep–thin enough that it won’t interfere with your glasses. And it weighs a mere 1/2 ounce. A dedicated sliding power switch makes it easy to tell when the headset is on or off. The main call button is also easy to locate.

13-Millimeter Speaker Provides Clear Audio

The Nica Sunrise features a 13-millimeter speaker–larger than those on most traditional headsets–that provides clear and full audio. -12dB of digital noise-suppression technology cancels out background noise, enhancing your ability to hear and be heard, even when talking outdoors or in noisy environments.

Connect Up to Two Phones

Multi-point technology lets you connect up to two mobile phones to the Nica Sunrise at the same time. You can switch from one phone to the other without having to disconnect and reconnect–a convenient feature if you use separate mobile phones for work and personal use.

Compatible with Any Bluetooth-Enabled Phone

The Nica Sunrise works with any Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone, including iPhone and Android models. It supports Bluetooth version 2.1 plus EDR (Enhanced Data Rate), as well as earlier versions.

Includes Magnetic Mini Charger

The Nica Sunrise also features an innovative magnetic mini charger for easy recharging and convenient headset access. Since the headset attaches magnetically to the charger, there isn’t a cable plugged into the headset, making charging and removal quick and easy. And the headset remains on and connected while charging–no need to power it down–so you’re always ready to take and make calls.

Fully charged in about one hour, the Nica Sunrise allows you to talk for more than four hours between charges. Once fully charged, the headset can sit unused and hold its charge for up to 150 hours.

The headset has an operating range up to 30 feet. It is also available in gloss black.

Optional Car Dock Charger

Maverick also offers the Nica Car Dock Charger (sold separately) for convenient charging on the go. Compatible with any Nica Sunrise Bluetooth headset, the innovative cable-less Car Dock attaches to the headset magnetically and triggers a hands-free reconnection between your docked headset and mobile phone the moment you get into your car. While your headset charges, you can stay connected and take and make calls.

The 12-volt car dock plugs into any standard car DC outlet or lighter socket and features a built-in auxiliary jack that lets you simultaneously charge your headset and mobile phone.

Great Headset

By StrawberryQ

Not exactly the same color as the picture

I really like this headset, but everyone should know that it doesn’t look like it does in the main picture. The red is shinier and more like a burgundy color. It looks more like the photo with the girl in the bottom description section. Lucky for me I like the real color better than the flatter red shown in the main picture.

Liked the idea…

By zumagirl

Design – Using the currently popular earbuds and things that fit into my ears do not work for me they hurt. Tried different sizes, etc no go. I purchased this headset because nothing goes into my ear and it was red.
Update: Earhook takes some getting use to but I favour most things being on my left side e.g. using this on my left ear. The fit is comfortable to my ear, maybe even a little loose fitting.I find myself adjusting it in fear it may fall off, it never has. Yes my friends tease that it is large but compared to earbuds yes the size is but I don’t think it is larger than any other bluetooth device. it is very light weight.

My main con is; I have a hard time hearing the person on the other end. It’s not my hearing. I have very good hearing, which is probably why I am frustrated with this. No one has complained they cannot hear me but I have a very destinct voice, ok I am loud.
I have tried to adjust the volume while on the call, I have decided this is impossible unless you take the device off and adjust.

The controls are impossible to use while wearing it. It takes me forever to answer a call because I can’t find the control, so I use my phone when it’s handy. As many of the reviews stated it does constantly disconect from my phone for no good reason. You constantly hear it beeping in your ear reconnecting or disconnecting and I always look at my phone. Never had that problem with multiple other headsets.

In short if the sound was of better quality and the controls were easier to access I would highly recommend this product. Truth is I would not purchase again. Not satisfied at all. I never use it.

Great sound, comfortable but not easy to operate

By D. Morrissette

The sound quality is pretty good on this and it is more comfortable than most but the miniscule buttons make it difficult to operate. They put great design principles into the ability to charge it (magnetic attachment to chargers) and the comfort, they need to do better in designing the operating buttons. Odds are you’re going to miss the call by the time you find the button.
